The Core wheelset is our lightweight XC wheelset. We spec'd and built this wheel to provide XC racers with a wheel that's light enough to race at the elite level, but at a more affordable price point than more exotic builds. The Core features ultra-reliable DT Swiss 350 straight pull hubs with centerlock brake mounts. Why straight pull? Serviceability is key, and straight pull spokes can easily and quickly be replaced without removing the cassette and rotor. We also spec'd DT Swiss Aerolite spokes. Why Aerolite? They're a bit more expensive than typical round spokes, but they offer lighter weight and an aero advantage without increasing the price too much. We use DT Swiss Prolock brass nipples for durability and improved resistance to corrosion versus aluminum. Lastly, we lace everything to Light Bicycle XC930 rims. Light Bicycle is a leading supplier of high-quality carbon rims, and we've found them to be very light and very durable.
We generally keep this wheel in-stock and ready to ship, but are also able to build custom wheelsets with the hubs and spokes of your choosing.
